On April 10, 2022, the Driftwood Historical Conservation Society co-sponsored with Vista Brewing the Driftwood Heritage Festival. This was a free family friendly event for the community to join to celebrate the Driftwood agrihood’s past, present, and future community heritage. During the Heritage Festival, the Driftwood agrihood witnessed the unveiling of the placeholder marker for the future Texas State Historical Commission’s William B. Travis State Historical Marker. Also, approximately 600 +/- community members met and shared family heritage experiences, as they enjoyed live music of 3 Driftwood agrihood bands, browsed handmade products by local artisans, and learned about dark skies, local pollinators, water conservation and native habitat and wildlife for the care of their own Driftwood properties
