This month brings several seasonal events and moments to connect with friends and neighbors. Upcoming Events

Driftwood Community Night

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025

Time: 6:30 PM

Location: Driftwood Community Center (15112 W RR 150)

Join us on Saturday, December 6th at 6:30 PM for the last Driftwood Community Night Potluck of 2025! Enjoy the season with us during a very special night of singing Christmas carols, led by The Drifters, a local band featuring Driftwood HCS member, Robin Melanson. In addition to our regular potluck, we’re hosting a cookie exchange! Bring two dozen cookies if you’d like to participate. Come enjoy good food, good music, and good company!

General Membership Meeting

No General Membership meeting this month. We look forward to seeing you for our first meeting of 2026 on Tuesday, January 13th!

Christmas at the Pound House

Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025

Time: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM

Location: Pound House

Join us in spreading holiday cheer and local history at Christmas at the Pound House on Saturday, December 13th! We need four volunteers to help host our Driftwood HCS table, meet visitors, and share information about our mission. Two shifts are available during this festive community event. Bird with a Birder

Date: Saturday, December 20, 2025 (every 3rd Saturday)

Time: 8:30 AM

Location: Driftwood Birding Station at the Driftwood Nature Preserve (across from the Driftwood Community Church and Driftwood Community Center)

We’re excited to continue this monthly series in collaboration with Hays County Master Naturalists! The Bird with a Birder series aims to bring seasoned birders together to share their knowledge, welcome new birders into the flock, and create opportunities for everyone to enjoy the beauty of birding. Join us at the Driftwood Birding Station on Saturday, December 20th at 8:30 AM for our next outing. All are welcome, especially “want-to-be” birders, and families are encouraged to join in! Christmas Eve Service at Driftwood Community Church

Date: Wednesday, December 24, 2025

Time: 7:00 PM

Location: Driftwood Community Church 

Join Driftwood Community Church for their Christmas Eve Service. Celebrate the season with carols, worship, and the joy of Christmas together. After the service, Santa will make a special visit to deliver gifts to the children, followed by a festive reception in the Education Building. It will be a wonderful evening for the whole family to share in the spirit of Christmas!   

Driftwood HCS will help make the night extra magical by assisting Santa during the Christmas Eve service. More details are coming soon, so keep an eye out!

The Driftwood Heritage Festival is back! The festival will now take place one week earlier on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
