Bird with a Birder

Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026 (every 3rd Saturday)

Time: 8:30 AM

Location: Driftwood Birding Station at the Driftwood Nature Preserve (across from the Driftwood Community Church and Driftwood Community Center)


We’re excited to continue this monthly series in collaboration with Hays County Master Naturalists! The Bird with a Birder series aims to bring seasoned birders together to share their knowledge, welcome new birders into the flock, and create opportunities for everyone to enjoy the beauty of birding. Join us at the Driftwood Birding Station on Saturday, May 16th at 8:30 AM for our next outing. All are welcome, especially “want-to-be” birders, and families are encouraged to join in! Driftwood Heritage Festival 2026

The Driftwood Heritage Festival is back this Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 11:00AM to 6:00PM at Vista Brewing! This is a free event, but we do encourage pre-registration. Click here to reserve your FREE tickets and to learn more about the festival!

Resource: Hays County Water Planning Public Meeting and Open House

Residents are invited to attend a Precinct 4 public meeting and open house to learn more about water supply planning efforts and flooding assessments affecting our growing community. Stop by to view project information, ask questions, and speak directly with county staff and the project team.
