Driftwood HCS in the news!

In a recent Letter to the Editor published in the Dripping Springs Century News, Marie Bassett, a valued member of the Driftwood Historical Conservation Society’s Historical Committee, offers a thoughtful perspective on the origins of Cannonville and the efforts to relocate the county seat in Hays County. We invite you to read her full letter and “give a thought to how different Hays County would be, had any of these attempts succeeded!”

The Wimberley View recognized the award-winning FM 3237 roundabout, noting its thoughtful design and commitment to preserving community character. Driftwood HCS was referenced for its efforts to honor the area’s past while supporting projects that shape the community’s future. Read the full article here!
