Share Your Voice: Help Shape the Future of Hays County Facilities

Hays County is developing a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to ensure our public facilities are meeting the needs of our growing community and your input is essential.

Please take a few minutes to complete the public input survey and share your experiences with current county facilities and ideas for improvement. Your feedback will help shape decisions about future projects and ensure services are convenient, accessible, and community-driven.

The survey is open now through August 8, 2025. Take the survey here!

Resources

Each month, we’ll be sharing resources that we hope will be useful to our community. These might include websites, guides, tools, or local updates aimed at keeping you informed and connected.

Understanding State Water Legislation in Hays County

The Office of Hays County Commissioner, Precinct 4 Commissioner Walt Smith created an online resource to help residents navigate critical state water bills that directly impact groundwater protections in Hays County.

This is an excellent primer for residents who want to stay informed on one of the most pressing environmental and property-rights issues facing our community.

Transmission Line Routing 101: What Texas Landowners Need to Know

Landowners across Texas increasingly face the prospect of transmission lines crossing their property, which can impact land value, access, and future use. Join Transmission Line Routing 101 on Monday, September 22nd for a webinar led by Attorney & Counselor, Carly Barton designed to help you understand and influence every phase in the routing and condemnation process. Whether you're just beginning to assess risk or already have a pending notice, this session equips you with the tools, timing, and knowledge you need to engage confidently.
