Driftwood HCS recently received recognition from the Texas Department of Transportation, “For outstanding effort and generous contribution of time and energy to maintain the beauty of Texas roadsides through dedicated voluntary participation in the Adopt-a-Highway Litter Prevention Program 2026 Trash-Off.”
A special thank you to Bob Deaton for his steadfast leadership and persistent optimism during his years as Beautification Committee Chair. Thank you for keeping Driftwood beautiful!

This month, we're changing things up a bit with a community engagement event featuring Miriam Williams from the legendary Salt Lick BBQ! After 18 years in food service operations, Miriam joined Saltlick BBQ in 2004, drawing on her North Carolina Whole Hog roots to master Texas-style brisket under Pitmaster and Owner Scott Roberts. One of the few women leading as a Pitmaster, she's built a reputation as a fierce, respected force in BBQ.
