Driftwood Community Night

Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026

Time: 6:30 PM

Location: Driftwood Community Center (15112 W RR 150)


Join us on Saturday, March 7th at 6:30 PM for Driftwood Community Night! This is the perfect chance to catch up with old friends, meet new neighbors, and enjoy a variety of delicious dishes and desserts prepared by our amazing community members. Bring your favorite dish or dessert and join us for an evening of fun!


Documentary Screening at Vista Brewing: Yakona

Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026

Time: 5:30 PM – Doors open; 7:00 PM – Film begins; 8:30 PM – Q&A with filmmakers (moderated by Jeffrey Brown)


Enjoy a screening of the award-winning documentary YAKONA seen through the eyes of the San Marcos River at Vista Brewing. Yakona is a river’s dreams and memories - a visual journey from prehistoric times to the modern era. It is THE film of San Marcos and its river culture. Stay tuned after the screening for a panel discussion with the filmmakers. Entry is free, optional $5 ticket, RSVP via Eventbrite. Family and dog friendly!


A few notes: 

  • Seating is limited, BYO chair and blanket encouraged. An RSVP does not guarantee a seat at a picnic table.

  • No outside food and beverage.

  • Movie is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved indoors.

General Membership Meeting

Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026

Time: 6:00 PM

Join us for our General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, March 10th. This month's meeting will feature Stephanie Dempsey, Education & Outreach Specialist for Take Care of Texas. Take Care of Texas is an initiative of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) that provides valuable information on how to help keep the state’s air and water clean. See you there!


Bird with a Birder

Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026 (every 3rd Saturday)

Time: 8:30 AM

Location: Driftwood Birding Station at the Driftwood Nature Preserve (across from the Driftwood Community Church and Driftwood Community Center)


We’re excited to continue this monthly series in collaboration with Hays County Master Naturalists! The Bird with a Birder series aims to bring seasoned birders together to share their knowledge, welcome new birders into the flock, and create opportunities for everyone to enjoy the beauty of birding. Join us at the Driftwood Birding Station on Saturday, March 21st at 8:30 AM for our next outing. All are welcome, especially “want-to-be” birders, and families are encouraged to join in! Land. Water. Connection. Series from The Watershed Association

The Watershed Association is launching a new educational series, Land. Water. Connection. as part of the Blanco Cypress Watershed Protection Plan (BCWPP). This collaborative effort with Meadows Center for Water & the Environment, Hays County, the City of Woodcreek, and the City of Wimberley plays a vital role in shaping water resiliency in our region. The first event is Saturday, March 21st, 10:30-12:30PM at the Wimberley Village Library. Click here to register and learn more about the series.
